TC Architects is pleased to have been selected to design the expansion and renovation of the GreenView Inn, which is where 118 seniors call home.
In order to keep current with the expanding assisted living market, the GreenView Inn wanted to provide their residents additional amenities. The expanded facility houses five new activity areas which offer the residents increased opportunities for social interaction. The quality of the seniors’ everyday life has been enhanced with the creation of the Media Center, Movie Theater, Gift Shop, Exercise Room and Pub. A variety of activities are hosted in the Pub including Book Readings, Puzzle Building Events, Bridge and Texas Holdem’ Tournaments, Poker Night, as well as the VERY popular Friday Night happy hour. The use of rich wood paneling and trim were continued throughout the facility, making a seamless transition between the addition and the original building.
The renovation also provides the residents and their guests with a new entry sequence which features enlarged walkways, a well-lit porte-cochere and a professionally landscaped covered pathway which leads to the new Main Entry. A receptionist now greats you upon entering the facility and can provide direction and information on the day’s activities. To make the management office more accessible to current and prospective residents, it was relocated near the main entry.
