Akron MHA Senior Apartments

About The Project

TC Architects provided architectural services for Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority’s Edgewood Village Hope VI multi-phased revitalization project, which provides a total of 226 housing units. This project was funded through the tax credit program by OHFA and financed by OCCH.

This phase of the project, Phase V, provides 48-units (11) one-bedroom and (37) two-bedroom in a four-story senior building.

The style reflects the craftsman architecture used on the surrounding townhomes.  The first floor of the building provides various spaces for social interaction and houses resident services, including a lobby, mail area, lounge, offices, library, health and wellness center, and dividable community room.

The building and all of the apartments are visitable and adaptable.  In addition, 19 percent of the apartments are  designed to be fully-accessible
