About The Project
TC Architects designed the Re-caging for Tiger Valley for the Akron Zoological Park. As a part of their continuing maintenance program and upgrading of the facilities, the Zoo appropriated funds to re-cage their existing Primate, Lion, Tiger and Bear off-exhibit holding areas. The project had to be performed in multiple stages, in each of three buildings, to allow for the animals continued use of the facility. New aluminum caging with shift doors, presentation areas, treat ports, food chutes and sleeping platforms were installed in three different buildings as a part of this re-caging project.
