Medina County ADAMH Board – Resiliency Center

About The Project

TC Architects recently worked with The Medina County Alcohol, Drug Addiction & Mental Health (ADAMH) Board on a new Trauma Informed Family Center.  This project brings together several County and Private agencies to provide a “one stop shop” location for families to promote positive outcomes.  The new facility was just opened in May of 2023.

The existing 3,200 sf building was expanded to a 6,500 sf collaborative facility that includes:  An electronic check-in area, separate waiting areas, conference rooms that can accommodate different size groups, a large multi-purpose room with kitchenet that can be divided for group meetings or training purposes, training kitchen, child play room, art room, calming room, sand room, movement room, offices and staff area.

A new exterior play ground, basketball court and expanded parking lot was added as well.  The exterior of the building was enhanced with new materials and a new roof.  Skylights were incorporated into the design to bring in natural light in several of the large spaces for the beneficial effects

The main service provider for this project is Ohio Guidestone.  This project is being partially financed by the ADAMH Board and the Ohio Department of Mental Heath and Addition Services.
