About The Project
TC Architects, in association with Signet Development and Northeast Ohio Medical University, designed The NEOMED Education and Wellness (NEW) Center on Northeast Ohio Medical University’s campus.
The NEW Center is the nucleus of campus and student life. The Center brings an unprecedented integration of wellness, healthcare, educational experiences, and community interaction to the University, Rootstown and the surrounding areas.
The focal point of the facility is a large, atrium that functions as a gathering area where students, patients and the community can interact, as well as providing a venue for educational, after-hours, and weekend community events.
The 177,000 square foot, three-story facility houses:
- Diagnostic and Laboratory Areas
- Urgent Care
- Medical Offices
- Physical Therapy
- Medically Based Fitness Center:
- Lap, Warm Water and Whirlpools
- Group Exercise Rooms
- Fitness Floor with Cardio and Strength Equipment
- Free Weights
- Gymnasium
- Rock Climbing Wall
- Locker Rooms
- Food Service Venues
- 350-seat Lecture Hall
- Conference Center
- STEM+M Bio-Med Science Academy
