About The Project
TC Architects just completed working with PIRHL Developers to design a new Low Income Tax Credit Family Housing Development located in Rome Township, Ohio. This new, four building, three story walk-up development has a total of 50 units on a 4.1 acre site. The buildings consist of (16) one-bedroom, (26) two-bedroom and (8) three-bedroom units. Of those, (8) units are designed to be accessible and (2) units are design for the hearing and sight impaired.
The site has a walking trail, community garden, water feature and a picnic pavilion for the residents to enjoy. The project is designed to the Ohio Finance Housing Authority’s criteria and LEED standards.
The development also has a free standing 17,200 community / day care building that is operated by the Ironton-Lawrence Community Action Organization. This two story building has: (12) daycare rooms, community room, offices, conference room, staff break room and a full service kitchen. The exterior has a covered patio and play area for the children.
