About The Project
TC Architects is currently working with Progressive Housing Solutions, which is the Development arm of the Stark Metropolitan Housing Authority (SMHA), to design a new market rate housing development in Canton, Ohio. These (3), two-story walk-ups will be located on 6.97 acres. The development will consist of a total of (36) two bedroom units. Of those, (3) units will be designed to be accessible and (3) units will be design for the hearing and sight impaired. Each unit will have a deck or patio, a fireplace, washer / dryer hook ups and a storage unit. Each building will have its own attached garage.
The development will also have a free-standing, 3,000 square foot community building / maintenance building that will include a two-bay maintenance garage, community room, exercise space and an office. The site currently has a couple of abandoned buildings that will be removed and a walking trail to the adjacent lake will be added for the enjoyment of the residents.
This project is scheduled to break ground in the Spring of 2021.
