The Genesis Center Omega Health Oberlin Development

About The Project

TC Architects is currently working with The Genesis Center / Omega Health in developing a new 41.5 acre site in the City of Oberlin.  This new development will consist of:

  • (2) Recovery Homes with Manager’s House
  • (120) Low income tax credit Work Force / Permanent Supportive Housing with (48) one-bedroom, (48) two-bedroom and (24) three-bedroom units
  • (144) Market Rate Townhomes
  • Community Building / Clubhouse
  • 28,000 sf of Retail Space to support the new housing.

The site will have community gardens, a dog park, a picnic area with a play area and the main street will be lined with memorial fruit trees for those that have been lost to drug and alcohol / behavioral heath issues.

This new development is designed with numerous sustainability goals, including:  solar car ports; super insulated, geothermal heating; bike parking and all units will be solar ready.  The site will also feature hike and bike paths that will tie into the overall transportation and public parks plan for the city.

This project is being financed with a Low Income Tax Credit from the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) and private funds.

It is scheduled to break ground in 2024.
